Come and join a walking tour around the centre of Salo! You will learn about both ancient and more recent history of Salo, from ancient routes and roads to the emergence of the electronics industry, with a glimpse into the future and the forthcoming housing fair. You will also hear about influential figures that made their mark in the cityscape and the development of the market town and current-day Salo, and spot a few hidden gems you may have overlooked.
The tour is suited for both visitors and residents who wish to learn more about their current home town.

Dress for the weather and wear appropriate walking gear. Don't forget your water bottle and umbrella.
Participation is at your own risk. Please check your insurance cover in advance if necessary.
Accessibility
There are some uphill sections and uneven surfaces, but we’ll keep a moderate pace and avoid stairs and steep kerbs.

€12 per person – book your place in advance in our Johku online shop.
If places are still available, you may also enquire at the departure point directly from the guide; cash payment only (exact amount).
Maximum group size: 30 participants.
The walk is guaranteed to run.
Cancellation policy
Your booking is binding – tickets are non-refundable.
If the tour has to be cancelled by the organiser (force majeure, e.g. illness or for safety reasons such as severe thunder), all payments will be refunded.

The tour starts and ends in front of the tourist info at the Salo Market Place, Horninkatu 8, 24100 Salo.
